ZAK-A Brand New Lounge
Villa del Palmar Cancun Luxury Beach Resort & Spa is excited to announce the forthcoming addition of a brand new beach club lounge in 2018 where you can enjoy fabulous signature cocktails or cool non-alcoholic refreshments when contemplating the oscillating turquoise hues of the Caribbean Sea. Zak—which means “white” in the Mayan language—will be ready to receive members and guest staying at Villa del Palmar Cancun from early 2018.
Yet another option for chic alfresco lounging
Zak Lounge is intended to offer visitors another outdoor area where they can relax and enjoy a wide selection of premium drinks, cocktails, wine, beer and nonalcoholic beverages as well as a delicious menu of signature snacks. The trendy lounge area, characterized by its white beach furniture and sun umbrellas, will boast a relaxed beach club ambience with uplifting music, located next to the current activities palapa by the beach.
Relaxation in style
The waiter service at Zak will welcome you throughout the day and into the night offering you an explosion of different flavors, from sweet to salty, from sour to spicy. Here you might enjoy reading your favorite book or magazine, socialize with friends or find a romantic corner to share with that special person in your life. Throughout the day, the lounge has a family-friendly atmosphere where elegant beachwear and cover-ups are permitted while the evening will promote a more adult, classy atmosphere for sophisticated socializing and romance, especially apt for before or after dinner. The lighting at night sets the tone for chic experiences, and live music will provide subtle entertainment as you enjoy the magical scene watching the lights of Isla Mujeres glisten in the distance.
Honoring the local heritage
Part of the overall concept at Villa del Palmar Cancun is to honor the Mayan heritage that enriches the whole Yucatan Peninsula; You can note the influence of the local culture in the general design of the resort which features Mayan accents in its decor as well as in the names used for some of the facilities. For example, our Mexican themed contemporary restaurant is named after the Mayan word for sunrise, Zama and the Village Spa is modeled on a typical Mayan pueblo with its palapa roof cabins. In this vein, the new lounge will be called Zak, which is the Mayan word for “white,” referring to the local heritage as well as the fresh white theme of its design.
We look forward to receiving you at ZAK next year where you will be able to enjoy yet another area for socializing and enjoying the Caribbean ambience.
