Sally BigginI have been a member of UVC since buying Villa del Arco (pre-construction) in 2004. We use the properties on a regular basis and I have attended 3 Annual Membership meetings (once in Cabo at Villa del Palmar and twice at VP Flamingos). In 2004, I retired from Klamath-Trinity Joint Unified School District (Humboldt County, CA) as Director of Special Education Services. I am a former Superintendent of Schools (Round Valley USD); high school principal; elementary principal; and Resource Teacher. I have served as an officer on a number of non-profit boards including Girl Scouts of Northern CA. (GSNC); National Women’s Political Caucus (NWPC); Association of Calif. School Administrators (ACSA); Humboldt Arts Council, & The Ninety-Nines, Inc. International Association of Women Pilots. My experience serving on the HOA for Shell Vacation Club’s Inn At the Opera in San Francisco, since 2011, has given me a unique perspective on how owners, managers, developers, and marketers can work together to give the guests a positive experience. I am familiar with audits, budgets and customer feedback data. I also trust that the knowledge I have gained using the seven different properties my husband and I own in Mexico, Hawaii, and CA has made me a very savvy candidate for your board.
Tim BushI’m 55 years old and married to my amazing wife Kathy for over 34 years, with 3 grown children and 6 grandchildren. After a 35 year successful run in the auto business, we sold our operation in April 2015, and are now growing our family car wash business. Bush Car Wash currently operates 4 locations with 60 employees, is under construction for wash number 5, and have bought or committed to three other sites. This is a good clean business that will gross $3.5 million in sales this year, and my sons and I are having a ball with it. We also have a commercial rental operation and own and lease several buildings that we have built over the last 18 years, with over 23 tenants and growing. I have over 20 years of construction knowledge and was a general contractor for 15 years. My greatest passion is doing Marriage ministry with my wife and leading groups of all sizes and shapes. I have served for 20 years on the UVC Board. The product has never been better and the board works well with the developers; this continuity has great value to the membership. Kathy and I love Mexico so much and will be spending even more time there starting in 2017. This will give us more serving time with Eagles Wings and helping with marriages in Mexico as well. I would be honored to represent the UVC members for another term. Blessings to all and hope your vacation experience is amazing-that’s why the UVC Board exists.
Dennis Joseph CampanaleI have been a Fire Chief in West Sacramento, CA & Jackson, CA for 31 years, Chief Financial Officer for the California Association of Professional Firefighters for 28 years, and Chief Financial Officer for the National Peace Officer & Firefighters for 14 years. My hopes for the club are to maintain its excellent reputation and help it to continue to grow it membership and improve the facilities. I would like to help implement a communication network expansion for suggestion and members input. I was educated at the Wharton School of Finance, and having served as for almost 40 years as a Public Safety Manager and attaining the positions of Chief Financial Officers for two leading associations, I believe meet and surpass the Board criteria.
Herbert GarzaMy goal as a member of the board is to represent all Club members by listening to their ideas and stories and serve them to the best of my abilities. I am an owner since before the construction of Villa del Palmar Cabo San Lucas back in the early 1990s. I have witnessed the growth of the Club and the resorts from the perspective of a loyal Club member. I am currently a U.S. Navy Reservist with six mobilizations to active duty since 9/11. I am certain that my college degree from California State University Fullerton (BA English/Philosophy), my current graduate work at Chapman University in Orange, and my experience as an financial institution auditor specializing in real estate law and mortgage law compliance as a licensed California Real Estate Broker/Officer will make me an asset to the Board.
Kevin Arthur HoffmanI have been a member of UVC since 2001 and would now like to volunteer my extensive organizational and financial management and be part of the Board. As a Board member my goals would be to actively listen to the members and be responsive to their concerns, oversee the finances and control the growth of maintenance fees, and to work toward continual improvement of the member experience at the resorts. I have recently retired as an executive in the medical device industry after 39 years in the orthopedic, cardiac and neurology fields. As a Plant Manager, General Manager and Vice President of Research & Development, I have been personally responsible for P&L/budgets in the $15 million range. My experience in being the primary negotiator and signatory on many types of contracts and on the Board of Directors for two corporations will certainly make me an asset to the UVC Board of Directors.
Richard StabileI am now retired after 50 years in active dental GP Practice. I have served as a consultant for Dental Trans-Platal Arch, served as past President of the Long Island Academy of Odontology, Academy of General Dentistry, Head of the Bay Club, Long Island, NY, peer review mediator for 2 dental societies, have been a 50 year member of Lions International, and Chairman of the Oral Cancer Committee. As a member of the board I would look forward to helping all our members enjoy their time at the resorts, help make it a smoke free environment, increase our membership base and help our senior members be able to expand their membership. I believe my 4 years as a member of the MAC committee and my 5 years on the Eagle’s Wings sub-committee will help me accomplish this.
