  1. As a 10 year owner with the Villa group I don’t feel I get my money’s worth from an all inclusive so I have never purchased the packages. I simply do not eat or drink enough to make it worth my ‘Canadian’ dollar. Is it mandatory to have to pay for all inclusive at Villa del Palmar Cancun or can I purchase food and drinks as I wish from the restaurants on site?

    1. Hi Linda,

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. All-inclusive meal plans are optional and you can purchase food and beverages a la carte at Villa del Palmar Cancun. Hope this helps!

      Best Regards,

      Brittany

  3. Hi, We haven’t used our points since we purchased timeshare at Los Cabo 3 years ago. Now we wanted to see Cancun with our family and friends in the week of New Year 2016, but there are many restrictions and apparently we cannot use it on the block weeks which is Christmas and new year. We don’t remember that when they did the presentations, I do understand now after calling the reservations. Is there a way that we can book rooms for 10 people. It could be 3 rooms or 2 big rooms All inclusive fr Dec 29, 2016 – Jan 2, 2017. Is there a member price? Thank You

    1. Hi Jessica,

I have forwarded your request to our Call Center so that an agent can give you account specific information.

      Best Regards,

      Brittany

  4. Linda – you are lucky. We typically have exhausted our American dollar by about 2PM, alongside the pool 🙂 Love the all-inclusive plans.

  5. I’ve seen references in Trip Advisor that VDP Cancun provides a complimentary shuttle service for trips to and from downtown Cancun. Could you please provide details?

    1. Hi Deb,

      Thank you for your inquiry.

Grocery stores are approximately a 25 minute drive away from the resort in Cancun.

There is a Walmart SuperMarket at this address: Av. Coba Mza. 2 Lte. 2, Super Manzana 21, 21, 77500 Cancún, QROO, Mexico

There are a few other local supermarkets, such as Superama, which is located at Av Contoy, SM 11, 77504 Cancún, Q.R., Mexico

There is a Palmita Market onsite at the resort that has groceries, toiletries, souvenirs, etc.

      Hope this helps!

      Best Regards,

      Brittany

  6. You never mentioned Costco… Walmart owners ( Walton family) are the cheapest people in the world and one of the richest… 3/4 of their employees in the U.S. have to collect food stamps to survive… I wont shop there… So can you tell me where Costco is please… 🙂

    1. Hi Peter,

Absolutely-there is a Costco approximately 20 minutes away from the resort in Cancun.

Here is the address: Mza. 4, Lote 2, SM 21, Benito Juárez, 77500 Cancún, Q.R., Mexico

For the most accurate price please consult the cab company as the price depends on exact mileage and people in the vehicle. If you would like, you can email the Cancun Cab Company for more information regarding transportation. Hope this helps!

  8. About how much does a taxi cost from the airport to the resort? How much do you charge for the roundtrip airport shuttle?

    1. Hi Cindy,

Thank you for reading our blog and submitting an inquiry.

Due to the taxi union restrictions in Cancun, Villa del Palmar Cancun no longer offers shuttle transportation to or from the airport.
A taxi one way to or from the airport costs approximately $35 USD. Please ask your taxi for their prices as these may vary. Hope this helps and wishing you a wonderful, upcoming vacation!

      Best Regards,

      Brittany

    1. Hi Dani,

Thank you for your inquiry. The costs of all on site restaurants are similar at all Villa Group properties.

      Happy traveling!

      Best Regards,

  9. I was wondering what taxi company do you recommend to use from the Airport to the resort…. I will be coming for a month in February… Also what would be the BEST Tour company to use for trips to Telum, Cozumel ect…..

    1. Hi Peter,

Thank you for reading our blog and submitting your inquiry.

We do not have a specific taxi company to recommend. We just recommend taking one from the airport as there will be many waiting there for new customers. In regards to the tours, there is a travel agency on site at Villa del Palmar Cancun right next to the Palmita Market that can recommend tours for you based on your interests.

      Best Regards,

      Brittany

  10. We are planning on visiting in May, 2017. Once we book, do you have a concierge here that will assist with all inclusive plans and tours prior to our arrival? That typically happens when we go to VDP Puerto Vallarta. Thank you.

    1. Hi Greg,

Thank you for taking the time to read our blog and submit your inquiry.

Once you book your vacation, we do have a concierge that will contact you and assist with travel plans prior to arrivals. The concierge usually contacts you 2-3 months prior to your vacation. If you would like assistance sooner please email memberservices@resortcom.com and we will have a concierge contact you sooner.

Wishing you a wonderful, upcoming vacation!

      Best Regards,

  11. We are arriving on 12/8 and will take the ADO from the airport to downtown Cancun. From there what bus do we take to Villa del Palmar Cancun? It’s been several years since we visited but I thought they had a specific number or color.

Also, my reservation is for a 2-bedroom. Can you arrange to get me a room where one of the bedrooms has 2 beds?

    1. Hi Lisa,

Thank you for taking the time to read our blog and submit your inquiry. Please be advised that we are currently looking into your inquiry with the resort and will get back to you as soon as possible with an answer. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience.

      Best Regards,
      Brittany

  12. We are planning to be at VDP-Cancun from Jan 23 to Feb 6 and are trying to get another one bedroom or a two bedroom to share with friends. We have owned at VDP-Cabo for over 10 years and look forward to seeing our Cancun resort! Our friends who would like to visit with us are also very interested in hearing the advantages of owning at VDP but we have been unable to find a vacancy for them to rent through us a one bedroom or share a two bedroom with us? Any help or advice is much appreciated!

  13. I’m contemplating a visit in MAY 2017 and found that there are two efficiencies (studios) available…one during week of 13-20 MAY and the other 20-27 MAY. I did look at the amenities of a studio. What I didn’t see was if there was seating other than the king or double beds. I didn’t see a sofa or a small table. Both of the weeks are VGR and saw that it wasn’t a requirement to pay for an all inclusive meal plan. Is this correct? If there is an option of paying for an all inclusive plan, is there a site where I can turn to so that I may see what the costs are and what is included and what isn’t? Thank you

    1. Hi Sylvia,

Thank you for reading our blog and submitting your inquiry. Please be advised that the prices from the hotel are different than the prices from the membership. Please call Member Services at 800-852-4755 for member specific details. It is optional to purchase a meal plan when staying at the resorts. Happy vacationing!

      Best Regards,

      Brittany

  14. Is there a laundromat at the Cancun resort like the one at VDP PV right next to Palmita Market… I hope I don’t have to pack my dirty laundry downtown Cancun to do it… Im sure there is a answer to this…

We look forward to welcoming you to Cancun! Wishing you a wonderful vacation!

      Best Regards,

  15. My girlfriend and I will be coming to Loreto next month and we have a small dilemma. We would like to purchase the All-Inclusive meal and drink option but we also very much want to explore Loreto throughout the day. If we do purchase the All-Inclusive package can we take meals with us for that day or do they have to be consumed on the property?

    1. Hi Chris,

Thank you for your inquiry. Please be advised that the All-Inclusive meal plan meals need to be consumed on property. You cannot order all of your meals for the day in the morning and take them with you.

Hope you enjoy your upcoming vacation!

      Best Regards,

      Brittany

    1. Hello Collister,
