Climb Monkey Mountain North of Puerto Vallarta near Sayulita, Monkey Mountain boasts breathtaking 360 degree views of Banderas Bay. During your one-hour ascent you‘ll experience tropical jungle and shade trees, wildlife and exotic birds, butterflies, lizards and insects. Ropes near the top of the mountain assist you with the steeper parts of the climb, and you’ll be rewarded with stunning views at the summit. Climbing Monkey Mountain is truly a unique and beautiful experience.

Cooking Classes Taking a hands-on cooking class is a fantastic way of immersing yourself in Puerto Vallarta’s local culture and to learn the methods behind delicious traditional Mexican cuisine such as street tacos, crispy Chilaquiles, rich Mole Poblano, Tres Leches dessert cake and more. Onsite cooking classes are offered at each resort. Ask your concierge for a current schedule. Additionally, most cooking classes in town last 3-4 hours and are hosted downtown. Learn some dishes to recreate back at home so you always have a piece of Mexico with you!

Family Memories

Ice skating on the Beach Be one of the first to enjoy ice skating on the beach with  IcelandBeachPV’s new rink. It is the only ice rink on the beach in all of Latin America and it is an impressive 40 meters long and 20 meters wide. You can find them at Febronio Uribe 171 in the Hotel Zone, open daily from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm. Skating prices are 130 pesos per hour, or 80 pesos per half hour including skate rental.

Botanical Gardens The stunning botanical gardens of Puerto Vallarta are dedicated to conservation and education on native plant biodiversity of the region. On the walking trails you will find plants from Dry Tropical Forest Biome, oaks, bromeliads, agaves, wild palms, exotic species and orchids. Information on tours that include lunch and tequila tasting is available on the Garden website and through private tour agencies onsite at the resort.
