“A stunning golf course, in a magical location,” says RJPantel via TripAdvisor. “TPC at Danzante Bay is not just a golf course it’s an experience. No trick no gimmicks, just an awesome track surrounded by jaw dropping sites. Canyons, cliffs, ocean side, whales breaching, dolphins passing. Adjacent to the aquarium of the world (Sea of Cortez)… The staff…Thanks Richard for all of your help and please thank your assistants at the range for the club cleaning. Course manager and pro Danny Garcia has overseen the course development from the ground up and has done an amazing job. I think his favorite thing is working with his staff, so they know what golfers like and expect at such a top facility. Very personable with all guests. See you again in 2021.”
“The Ultimate TPC Experience” says Jorge D. Via TripAdvisor, “The team at TPC Danzante Bay really out did themselves! Danny and his crew put on a golf production that exceeded my expectations. The golf course is incredible, and the views are unbelievable. The hospitality is second to none. Loreto and TPC Danzante Bay are bucket list experiences. You will be catered to like a tour pro and be fascinated by the golf course!”
Recently, our impressive course was recognized by the Elite Traveler Magazine for being one of the top luxury hotel golf courses to have opened in recent years. Below is a recap of the article!
“On the Baja Peninsula’s East Coast, TPC Danzante Bay offers intrepid golf travelers a destination that is more remote, and a golf course set on terrain that is even more dramatic. The course was conceived by Rees Jones, a course architect who is best known for his efforts in restoring and tweaking historic courses to prepare them for upcoming major championships. On the topic of Jones’s original course designs, though, TPC Danzante Bay is his pièce de résistance. “I don’t know that there’s a better site in Mexico that has been protected by the owners,” the 78-year-old architect says.
The 7,237-yard course plays over, around and between the rocky, scrub-covered buttes of the Sierra de la Giganta mountain range, spilling out toward the Sea of Cortez halfway through the back nine before climbing up the hills to its signature hole — the par-3 17th, which thrills golfers with a peninsula green perched on a clifftop 250 feet above surging waves that crash into the cove below. Despite the 17th hole’s inherent drama, TPC Danzante Bay’s spectacular canyon holes are the course’s crowning achievement. “We were lucky with this site,” Jones says. “We didn’t need to create any new features. You don’t often get mountainous areas like this to work with, where you can find holes through the canyons.”…“People travel places to create new experiences,” says Jones, “and that’s what they’ll find here.”
In addition to this accolade, TPC Danzante Bay at Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto is currently recognized for two awards.
