TPC Danzante Bay Named Mexico’s Best Golf Course 2020

Mexico’s Best Golf Course 2020, TPC golf course, golf vacation

From the first tee to the final green, travelers have been enchanted by the beauty and challenges of TPC Danzante Bay, and the joys of playing here have earned it the title of Mexico’s Best Golf Course 2020 by the World Golf Awards. This prestigious award is based on the votes cast by hundreds of thousands of world travelers from over 129 countries, and because Mexico was named Latin America’s Best Golf Destination 2020 by the same award program, the competition for the top course was fierce, but the championship-level design, astounding views, and full amenities made it stand apart from even the top courses in Cabo San Lucas and Punta Mita. As you play through the rugged landscape of Loreto and onto seaside cliffs, you’ll experience for yourself what makes this TPC golf course the best in Mexico.

The World Golf Awards program, a part of the World Travel Awards, celebrates excellence in golf tourism and destinations, and the votes come in from everyday golfers and registered industry experts, combining both authentic experiences with professional judgements. This combination makes being named Mexico’s Best Golf Course 2020 a highly-coveted and prestigious honor, especially considering the unprecedented challenges of the past year. While many golfers couldn’t visit their favorite local courses or take a golf vacation, their memories of rounds at TPC Danzante Bay inspired them to cast their votes.

When designing TPC Danzante Bay, the legendary course architect Rees Jones had over 4,400 acres of pristine canyons and shoreline to inspire him. Because Loreto is a smaller destination for golf vacations than cities like Cabo San Lucas, his design takes advantage of the natural undulations of the open landscape to challenge even the most seasoned players. The first portion of the TPC golf course takes you into the natural twists of the valleys that surround Danzante Bay before heading toward cliffs overlooking the Sea of Cortez. Most golfers agree that the most spectacular view is at the 17th hole, a green perched on a cliff overlooking a sweeping view of the land and sea, giving you a chance to pause and soak up the beauty of the course. After playing through these final holes, celebrate your day with a meal of prime cuts and fine Mexican wines at the clubhouse, the perfect spot to make a toast and watch the sunset.

The winning combination of Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto and TPC Danzante Bay will make your golf vacation a dream come true, giving you everything you need to stay and play. The luxury resort, which has won a number of World Travel Awards, has sumptuous suites, tropical pools, and a world-class spa with services specifically tailored for golfers. With deals on golf vacation packages, you’ll have all the amenities to make every day perfect. From the gourmet on-site dining to the golf pro shop, escaping to Loreto for a golf trip has never been more tempting.

From the moment you tee up at the first hole of TPC Danzante Bay, you’ll see why so many travelers voted it as Mexico’s Best Golf Course 2020. As you play, you’ll be technically challenged by the TPC golf course design but also dazzled by the pristine beauty of the landscape. Winning the title this year shows the great memories, respect, and esteem golfers from around the world have for this course, so trust their votes, and discover the wonders of TPC Danzante Bay for yourself.

  • Let me say that I have been coming to Villa Palmar for almost 8 years and have seen the course evolve from 6 holes to what it is today. In fact, on one trip I watched the construction of the rough bordering on both sides of Hole No.12. I come from the desert Southwest of the United States and Danzante Bay combines the best of Scottsdale, Cabo San Lucas and Palm Springs. The course is pristine, uncrowded, and always challenging regardless of which side of the fairway your lands on. The ambiance of the resort and the graciousness of the host staff makes this golf resort in Mexico ——and quite possibly anywhere in Latin America. Thank you for helping to empty my “bucket list.”
