Earlier this year, announcements were made regarding the upcoming reconstruction project for Villa del Palmar Puerto Vallarta. Currently, the project is in the planning and permitting phase. We will provide regular updates to all members regarding any progress made. The updated resort-wide renovation is expected to commence in Quarter 2, 2024. Stay tuned for more updates.

Resort Overview

Under lit palms and the night sky, Villa Del Palmar Puerto Vallarta is the perfect place to wind down in the evening, with tropical gardens that run throughout, flowing fountains in the entrance, and impressive architecture. You will want to head to the front of the resort to relax every evening at sunset.
Nearby, the Malecón “Boardwalk” is lined with shops, art sculptures, restaurants, and bars, and is just a 10-minute (3-mile) taxi ride from the resort. You can visit the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, an important example of colonial architecture, or explore the many art galleries in the area. The Romantic Zone is another popular area teeming with lively bars, restaurants, and clubs that provide a diverse range of music, food, and entertainment and is just a 15-minute taxi ride (4.5 miles) from the resort. 
Other options include visiting the nearby marina, or taking a day trip to visit beach villages such as Sayulita, San Pancho, Bucerias, or Mismaloya.

We re coming to PV from November 28 – December 7th. How much construction do u anticipate during this period? We have been there many times and love it, but remain quite concerned about the construction impacts.

I’ve heard that some of the restaurants are currently closed due to the planned renovation and that currently there is no breakfast buffet. Can you verify please.

Thank you for reading our blog and submitting your question. We have checked with the onsite resort management and there currently is an a-la-carte breakfast buffet there. There will always be an option for breakfast. Note: restaurants onsite are on a rotating schedule. Hope this helps.

As the Villa Del Mar is to be knocked down in quarter 2 2024 will the gym and pickleball courts be removed at the same time. These are an important part of our vacation at VDP

I understand the renovation is going to transform the PV VDP to a a 5 Star Diamond Resort. How is that going to affect our Gold Membership? Will you be buying out contracts or will our membership be grandfathered in?

We purchased a gold membership in 2003 in Villa Del Palmar Flamingoes when it was being built and have enjoyed many years of visits. This year we decided to upgrade to the Preferred Access membership due to the new construction planned. In the meantime we are not sure what the change in benefits will be and how does it compare with the Elite membership. I do know that we are now on a point system but could you remind us as to what other changes we get. Our old minds are not clear as they used to be.Thanks
