Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto hosted Chef’s Week from March 10-17, 2017, which was an international culinary experience for all who attended. Chefs Penny Davidi, Tregaye Fraser, and Melissa d’ Arabian showcased their talents, dishes and unique recipes, made especially delicious with local ingredients.
Members and guests had the opportunity to attend cooking demonstrations, dinner parties crafted by our guest chefs, and opening and closing ceremonies with the chefs. These interactive events gave everyone the chance to meet and mingle with our guest chefs while tasting their food at our Million Star Resort set in the Danzante Bay.
A few event highlights
Chef Penny shared easy cooking tricks by the pool, such as grilling chicken to perfection and perfecting just the right amount of spice for grilled corn on the cob. Chef Tregaye focused on how to prepare the best tasting taquito. Everyone by the pool enjoyed tasting these delicious taquitos during the demonstration. Chef Melissa cooked a five course dinner consisting of Pissaladiere, salad with ratatouille and Dijon vinaigrette, fish with tomato caper crudo, mini-daube a la provencale with fresh pasta, and orange olive oil cake with rosemary chocolate ganache and vanilla bean cream.
