Happenings at the Islands of Loreto

Visiting the beautiful Islands of Loreto is a tranquil and relaxing vacation experience that is sure to help you unwind and rejuvenate. Recently, I visited Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto and enjoyed the serene ambience of the resort and the stunning beauty that surrounded me. Please read along for highlights of the activities that I participated in during this trip.

Aqua Aerobics: This low impact class inside the pool is a fun way to stay fit while on vacation. From stretching to swimming in shapes and playing active games in the water, this activity was a great way to have some fun in the sun while exercising. And, I enjoyed drying off and relaxing in a poolside lounge chair right after.

ATV Tour: I embarked on the Outback Desert and ATV Tour with Danzante Tours from the resort. We learned how to operate the ATV’s and were given some practice time in front of the resort before departing. For the tour, our guide led us through the Baja Desert, along the beach, through the nearby town Ligui, and concluded with a stop at a local family’s house in Ligui Village where we made our own fresh corn tortillas and samples local coffee. This was such a fun and adventurous way to explore the beauty of the Islands of Loreto!

Beach time: I enjoyed my morning jogs on the beach during my stay at Villa del Palmar Islands of Loreto. If you are a barefoot running fan like me, this beach is ideal as it is so clean. The quiet area with breathtaking views of the islands definitely had a calming effect on the mind, body, and soul.

Hiking with Golf Course Views: I can’t get enough of the gorgeous views that the hiking trails here boast. I woke up at 5 am one morning to hike up to Hole 17 and watch the sunrise. The view was phenomenal and unlike anything I’ve ever seen before.

Golf Yoga: I enjoyed a morning golf yoga class with resident teacher Emily outside on the driving range where she led our group in a series of golf stretches to loosen up our bodies, allowing us to better open up our golf swing. This was the perfect way to start my day as I could focus on breathing, stretching, and waking my body up for the rest of the day and a successful game of golf. After the class, I felt well-stretched and ready to conquer my day.

Golf: I learned how to golf for the first time with Danny, the Golf Instructor onsite. I enjoyed practicing at the driving range and returning the following day to play the course. I definitely can’t wait to keep up this fun habit with stunning views wherever I may travel to next.

Spa Time: I received the new 80 minute Magnesium Massage where I was able to fully relax. A massage therapist applied magnesium oil onto me and then I took an Epsom salt bath as I was pampered with a scalp massage to lock in the benefits of the magnesium. For the last half of this treatment I enjoyed a full body hydrating coconut oil massage, which made my skin feel so smooth and clean!

My visit to the Islands of Loreto was a relaxing experience filled with many fun activities. If you want to truly relax, the Islands of Loreto is the perfect destination to do so.
