La Isla Mall in Puerto Vallarta

Visiting Puerto Vallarta is a cultural experience that is sure to allow you to explore the traditional and beautiful settings of Mexico. Recently, I visited Villa del Palmar Puerto Vallarta and was delighted to find that La Isla, the new mall right next door to the resort, is now open. Please read along for highlights of what you will see during a visit to La Isla.

The design of the mall is gorgeous. It is located in central Puerto Vallarta and the concept is that La Isla is truly an “isla” or “island.” There is a river that flows throughout the mall offering gondola rides for all ages to enjoy and gorgeous spots where you can sit, chat with friends and family, and enjoy the garden-like views. When you walk to the end opposite the main entrance you will see water, a pedestrian bridge and  construction areas for a planned expansion of the Isla.

There is an area called “Allegro” that features a Kid’s Zone, Spa, Food Shack, games, and rides that is sure to provide the whole family with fun! This area features kid-inspired art work and plenty of seating throughout so that the whole family can spend time together. There is also a movie theatre on the second floor where you can see movies (English and Spanish available).

There is a wide variety of stores ranging from fashion to accessories to souvenirs. Designer stores include Tommy Hilfiger, Hugo Boss, Guess, Calvin Klein, Guess, Le Coq Sportif, Berksha and more. You can buy sunglasses at Sunglass Hut or get prescription lenses at Optica America or Zolar. There is a Nutrition store for all your dietary supplement needs, Money Back/ATM services, Best Buy and many phone carriers such as AT&T and Cellairis. For those who forgot to pack a swimsuit, there are three stores devoted just to swimsuits. And if you need souvenirs, there are two large shops offering any Puerto Vallarta souvenir you may desire. This mall is a great one- stop shop for everything you may need during your Puerto Vallarta vacation, and as an added bonus there are numerous activities to entertain people of all ages.

La Isla has a Food Court and many restaurants located throughout. Haagen Dazs, Starbucks, Subway, Moyo (Frozen Yogurt) and Sbarro are a few of the Food Court Options. Restaurants include Carlos N Charlies, VIPS, Texas Ribs and Italianni’s. Many of the restaurants boast gorgeous views overlooking the river, making this a picturesque area to dine.

The mall offers special events such as Children’s Day celebrations, film screenings, live shows, and more. For the most current event schedule, please click here. You can also view the current coupons and discounts being offered by clicking here.
